The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 453 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
The 453 new cases brought the nation’s confirmed COVID-19 infection cases to 47,743.
The agency made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Wednesday.
According to the agency, 113 new cases of the virus were reported in Lagos state, followed by the FCT with 72 new cases, 59 in Plateau State, 55 in Enugu State, 38 in Kaduna State, 32 in Ondo State, 26 in Osun State, 20 in Ebonyi State.
Others are: Nine in Ogun State, eight in Delta State, seven in Borno State, six in Akwa-Ibom State, five in Oyo State, one in Bauchi State, one in Kano State, and one in Ekiti State.
So far, as of 12th August, there were 47,743 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria; 33,943 discharged, with 956 deaths.
