The Enyimba International Stadium is a multi-use stadium located at Ube Street, Off Ngwa Road, Aba, Nigeria. It was founded in 1976. It is one of the beautiful sights seeing stadium in Nigeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as a home ground of Enyimba F.C.
The stadium has 16,000 capacity ground and holds 25, 000 people. On November 3, 2008 the stadium received a temporary ban after the home crowd attacked referees after a heated 1-1 tie with rivals Heartland F.C. The previous Governor of the state started renovation and expansion of the stadium which was completed in 2016. This landmark achievement is due to the selfless leadership skill of His Excellency Governor Okezie.
Enyimba FC is the best football club in Nigeria, and so if you are in town, it will be an injustice not to watch the boys show their prowess on the field. You also get to see other famous athletes and personnel.
It important to note that in August 2018, the stadium was used for the international CAF Champions League.
